Streamer $$

Tried one today and loved it. It's between one of these and a Spector euro.
My question is what are the best finish's on this model? Any pictures would be cool. The one I tried today was in a natural finish.

If your in the US there is a streamer $$ on ebay that is a steal. I would get it if I was in the market. It is a fretless. Here is the link:

Thanks but I'm in the UK. The pic was useful though.

I'm not that keen on the sound of fretless basses. Unless theyre in the right hands they just sound too farty for my tastes.

Also I won't be buying a bass for a couple of months yet.

I have one in Natural finish, and it rocks. I have never been a big fan of the way the swamp ash looked in Natural untill I seen mine! It is the best looking Warwick I own! Love the look of the back of the neck. Search the few post I have done and you'll find lots of pics of it.

What I don't understand, is why it's $1000 more than the Corvette $$. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only differences is the maple neck instead of Ovankol, and the body shape right? I don't see a $1000 difference...

The difference is probably largely due to the concaving process of the body, uses more wood and labour.

Spot on. I explained this in another topic. But basically as Rick exposed, the streamer shape involves a lot more work than the Corvette shape being a contoured design and it also requires the use of more wood. All these factors add up in the end.

I've been using my friends old standard a couple of times in the last week, and i'm really liking the bodyshape. It's a shame the rockbass has that awfull jack socket.

It is a lot more but I think it looks and feels miles better. I'm well on my way to affording one now and I've decided to go with the natural finish.

Remember, "a bass is for life, not just for christmas". I think it's worth spending the extra, otherwise I'd always be thinking of the streamer.

Now I just need to decide on amplification...
