I just bought a 2004 SSII 5 strings ( :-) ) And I noticed the TR nut is not with alen. Where I can buy a special key for this?

I'm rather confused with your question Florin. Do you mean the Nut or the Trussrod? In any case both of these work well with allen keys in a 2004 instrument. For the trussrod we strongly recommend using the Warwick Trussrod Tool, which is basically a T shaped allen key for easy use and for more accurate trussrod adjustments...

Let me know which one of those are you having trouble with and I'll do my best to help you out.
 
It is about the head of the trussrod. It is not with alen, is something X shaped like in some fender models. Do you know something about this?

I'm going to inquire about about that... since it sounds weird to me to have such a Trussrod on a 2004 SSII. But you could try using a phillips screwdriver.

When I buy a new instrument I open and look everywhere ... some kind of a ritual. After I do that, the bas is really mine :-)

The neck is perfect, has a little release, just as I usualy set up my instruments.
 
:D I open up everything too. Right now I've got my SN5 stripped except for the electronics waiting on a new gold hardware set so I've learned alot more about the insides of these basses while cleaning and studying this one. I remember seeing truss rod nuts before with a cross pattern on them, but not on Warwicks. Maybe Seth could help out with that. It might be that the original 5mm hex was damaged and the replacement was this cross-pattern nut? I haven't ever taken a truss rod apart though so if the neck is good enough to play on, I'd just leave it alone for now. Cheers! ~M~

I got an answer from the HQ in Germany. We have never used such a trussrod. Did you buy your bass used?

Yes, it is a second hand, maybe the owner had a fender (or other american bass) too, and he tried to adjust the TR using the wrong keys.
I am happy with my bass as it is, I could pay less if I knew about it, but... this is not a big problem :-)
