That bass has definitely been on eBay before, but I couldn't tell you if it is the same seller.

If I played more 4 string I would be all over that at that price :-)

(but then I have a good friend with a guitar shop if the crack got worse so...)

Anyway, I play 5er on most everything these days...

If you get it you should post what you think :-)

Good Luck!

I've watched that bass for a while, it's been relisted multiple times. Thought about a week or so ago, but they seemed to relist when there was about 3 days left on it. My concern with that bass is this: is there such a thing as a surface crack on an oil finished anything?

im not gunna bid. go for it. i just thought it was interesting

At that price, it's very tempting - but even a small crack on the neck of a neck-thru bass is a big concern...

That's a very good question. If it really is just a surface crack, the seller could have this easily fixed by a luthier. The fact that it hasn't been fixed and that is has been relisted makes me a little suspicious of this one.

According to seller, he had it looked at and they said that the only way to repair it was to completely break it off and re glue it. If that were so, that would suck...

That doesn't exactly sound like a surface crack now does it??

I saw it with a price of 220 USD earlier today. I will not even try because of the crack and missing knob.

I'd rather get something that is not cracked especially on a spot before the headstock.

that's me

Prolly not 220 (may have been an Ebay foul up, they're famous for them) since the opening bid all along was 500 and it was at 550 last night.

Regardless, it ended up going for $865. Whoever got it better pray that crack doesn't get any bigger, or they'll end up paying a very high price for that bass.

Sorry for that guy that spent that much money into a broken Warwick. Should have "watched the item" first and then wait.
