Streamer Stage I - Any sound clip ?

Guys,

I'm really in love with Stage II sound, I like the growl and I'd be about to buy one if were not for the string spacing that I might find a bit too narrow. I'm after a 5 string and I'd like to check also the Stage I out, since I undertstant it has a broader neck (19 mm, right?).

I'd love to hear how a Stage I sounds, I cannot try one out around here. Would anybody have a clip of a Stage I , possibly 5 string ?

And if you tried both Stage I and II, what are the main sonic difference ? Is it true that the Stage I lacks a lot of growl if compared with the Stage II ?

AFAIK 20 mm even on the 5- and 6-string, 19 mm on the 4-string. I last year even checked a 6-string and felt it one of the best playing basses I ever came across b/c of the neck's back profile (YMMV). Alas, there was a problem...

... <sorry for first adding a few questions to this plot > The one I checked lacked definition, even was a bit boomy It was all from flame maple and had Seymour Duncan Basslines PUs, and I'm wondering if it had anything to do with one of these features :?: Anyone any idea? Would a Streamer Stg. I custom made from harder woods and w/ different PUs (MEC? EMG?) have more definition?

(In so far I won't comment on current Stg. I models, and my clearly more enthusiastic opinion about older models won't be of help here.)

Of course, I also checked Stg. II models. In 3 D I wasn't as impressed from the current standard afzelia/ovangkol version as I had expected from recordings of other people. I also was a bit irritated by the somehwat uneven feel of the neck laminates. Especially growl-wise I felt (i.a.) Thumb NT and Infinity SN to be better. Problem w/ the former was the contrasting veneers inserted into the otherwise pure ovangkol neck were even more irritating

mine had this, but over time it "wears into your hands". the bass is now perfectly shaped for my hands. check out my weird waxxing habits on the maintance subject. trust me to woods do melt together over time. i think this maybe deliberate by warwick, or if not its really really cool.
once its worn in, its only gonna feel right to you. not like a fender, where they all feel the same.
DON'T BE WORRIED BY THE WOODS IN THE NECK. TRUST ME.
