Streamer JM or FNA JM?

Hi all, I am in the market for a four string fretted bass. I have been thinking about getting a Jazzman for it's versitility (because I play funk, jazz, blues, and rock) I have had some trouble deciding on the body shape however. I own a corvette and I really love it. Most people on the forum however seem to be liking the streamer bass even more. Is this only a comfort thing or do they sound different? I really don't know which one to get. What do you all suggest?

I've got an FNA JM 4 and like it quite a bit. I haven't played out with it too much (it's the backup for my Thumb) but I do like the versatility. As far as the body goes, I went with the FNA/Corvette body style, purely for aesthetic reasons. It's a body style unique to Warwick wheras the Streamer is a copy of the Spector NS body. Not that it is a big deal or makes the Streamer a bad instrument (it may be more comfortable than the FNA - I don't know) but I like sticking to original designs.

Hi coop,it aint a copy mate,Ned Steinberger designed it & both Spector & Warwick use it.Theyre alot different up close too. :wink:

Thanks for the advice but does anybody know if there is a sound difference between the streamer jazzman and the FNA jazzman?

They're mainly the same, the only thing that varies is that the body construction and the feel.

I have an FNA and love it sooo much, that said i think id prefer the steamer shape if i were to buy again!

Try em both. I can see an argument for them both but the contoured body doesn't do much for me...
