Hey. guys,

I've received my first ... and it's pretty cool! Obviously, it looks really different for a Warwick... but it also sounds really different. The tone is airier & more open, there's less thunder and punch than your typical Warwick.

I also found it pretty interesting to see how much typical Warwick stuff is on this bass. I don't know why, but I was expecting more of a departure. But the neck is the same neck, and the bridge is the same 2-piece bridge. Everything you know about setting up a Warwick still applies, which is actually quite nice.

Anyway, onto the bass porn :) Check out the bookmatches, front and back - they're awesome!! James at DBG always cherry picks basses for me, and this one is clearly a really nice one.

Yeah, I really want to get one or two of these out in the public... then maybe I won't have to do the sound clips :)

Oh, I do that all day long (beat GC prices)... if I ever don't, just call me on it and I'll see what I can do. I don't keep up with their pricing religiously...
 
Gorgeous bass there, I've GAS'd on a hollow body bass now and again and it's pure magic to play one. Your shop is within a day's worth of driving for me, maybe a trip is in order. :D
 
Oh, we're definitely worth the drive for any Warwick fan... I've got close to in stock :) Man, I love my job!!

I also have the Hellborg amp, which is really something to see/hear.
 
You're really very lucky I dont live nearby Greg.I'd be like that nightmare customer that turns up on a daily basis but never leaves money in the till,but fingerprints over all of your stock,drinks all your coffee & chews your customers ears off. :P :lol:
 
Hah! I've got enough of those customers already, thank you very much, Greg!

Blacksburg is a college town (Virginia Tech), so we've got plenty of scruffy dudes without two nickels to rub together. And of course they all play punk or metal or some other brand of music that requires vicious strumming and all sorts of sharp objects on their person (long key chains, various body piercings, dog leashes 'round their necks, etc.). They don't get to touch my guitars until they could pass through a metal detector without a peep :)

Something tells me if you ever made the pilgrimage half way 'round the world to Blacksburg, VA, you'd be walkin' out with a bass...

Yeah, I checked on the fretless angle... that'd be a custom shop thang at the moment. With the set neck, they can't just swap in a new neck like they can on the BOs. On the upside, if that's all that you changed, it wouldn't be a very pricey Custom Shop bass (relatively speaking)...
 
I saw one at the fair in real live and it looks even better!!

Nice bass. Very nice.
