I would take that LX with the MM off your hands in a heartbeat if I had the money for that but I'm reacquiribg my old Thumb first!
 
BA, don't be mean, no company is giving me sponsorship, I buy my Warwicks since 95. Hey! almost 20 years :-)
And my main instruments are not for sale.
 
The white one is your xbass, right ?

Gweanael Damman (warwick endorsee, too) has a black one with the same p'up config.

So is it begging to be jazzmanised or does it sound growly & deep already?
 
growly yes - deep no

the bass has a SD pre and the old version of the MEC MM that is wired in parallel (only 2 cables) so you cannot change it or add a switch without changing the PU. The PU and the SD are no good match anyway imo as the PU is friggin hot.

It has a brass bridge as an upgrade.

Plays like a dream!!! Best neck I had on a LX5.

If I had kept it I would have put another PU in (Have a EMG TW with electronics lying around:)

On my P-Nut I rarely use the neck PU so no jazzmanisation for me:-)
 
Ok thanks. I need deep as well as growly so I will wait for a 5 string Stage2 to come along or buy this Fender USA Marcus Miller V I just spotted on the interweb. ;)
