Ok, Florin is going to get a CS bass, and he has decided, that because of his love for buzzards, that he wants to get a Streamer in specs as close to a JE Buzzard as possible:

Zebrano body, neck-through, mirrored P pickups...

He likes streamers, but he has expressedly said that his favorite bass of all that were on display at the Warwick 25th, was a black Buzzard JE...

I Say why settle for "getting as close as possible", when he could get the real thing?

Florin, I'll be using my Vampyre in my jazz trio haha I'm sure you'll fit in just fine with a buzzard :p

Come on, Florin, think about it:

The Buzzard is one of Hans Peter's Great Acheivements, It's one of his master pieces, an integral part, and a stunning demonstration of his skill as an instrument maker.

The Streamer was originally lisensed by Spector, sure it's also an integral part of Warwick history, but in a "surviving and paying the bills" kind of way.

Choosing a Buzzard is a recognition of Hans-Peter's genius...

I know that given your choice, I'd go with an 8-string buzzard, like the one hanging proudly on the wall, at Markneukichen...

i say a hi-polish natural zebrano buzzard (w/ matching headstock) can't be less classy than any other bass :D

i say get the buzzard and scare bandmates!

..oh and maybe it might be a good bass.. :D

that zebrano streamer mock up is just far too sexy. i voted streamer

I thought one of the problems was that Florin wants a 5 string bass..................So you automatically end up with the Streamer, or the Buzzard BO.............. :?

Come on, he's got the ear of hans peter himself, he can get that buzzard in 5-strings, I'm sure... :)

I don't think that the Buzzard would be a suitable bass for Florin's pop-rock band: Procosnul. At least the aspect...hmm.. maybe if he would play in a metal band

Last time I checked, Mr. Entwistle, for whom the Buzzard was designed, never played in a metal band...

As a matter of fact, the Who is much closer to pop-rock than to anything else...

Just sayin'

The buzzard is a great instrument, no matter what style you play...

Actually I like the Buzzard shape very much, and I find it very suitable for pop rock :-) My wife Lucia thinks I am crazy...

Well the thing is... We cannot make a 5 strings buzzard JE. I've tried :-) And In the end I find the streamer design one of the sexyest bass designs ever.

But I guess I have to buy a Buzzard JE too someday, huh?

While we're on the subject of wives, the Buzzard is actually my wife's favorite Warwick!

Actually it became her favourite too :-)

And speaking again of wives, the only bass she had noticed soundwise in a concert was a Thumb NT 5. She told me it was the best bass sound .

So remember, if you are planning to impress the girl with your bass sound, buy a Thumb!!!! I know you are all asking your girlfriends/ wives how your bass is sounding like ;-)

Lucia obviously has good taste :)

It's not about taste, it's about NOTICING the bass. :D
Chicks don't really hear our basses you should know that...
