Shielding - warwick's fault?

I own 1990 streamer stage 1 and I can't get rid of the buzz. I thought it was something about wiring so I resoldered everything and it did no good. Now I'm not certain if something is wrong with the EMG pick ups or the aguiliar electronics I have. I thought it was maybe about electricity or the other equipment I have but I checked it all with no results. I tried other guitars(Music man sting Ray, Yamaha TRB, some expensive model of Aria...) and they all were dead silent with my Phil Jones Suitcase in the same conditions. I was unpleasently suprised when I plugged the other Warwick model, 2001 Corvete Proline (MEC pick ups and the original electronics) which produced the same buzz which redirected my suspicions from the EMG pick ups and Aguiliar electronics I own to Warwicks in general. I hope it's shielding otherwise I'll just have to replace the bass. I really like the sound and the feeling of playing this bass but... the buzz is just too loud and annoying. Can you give me some tips how to shield it (if shielding is the problem I really can't understand Warwick allowing that to put its reputation in question. I can't believe that I have to (or I can) improve something Warwick produced). I hope there is a reasonable explanation for this
 
I'm not an expert here but have you tried using that canned air and blow on the input jack? maybe a lose connection or extra dust in there could cause the buzz.

have you tried changing batteries?
 
Are you even sure it's the shielding?I think maybe it's better to pinpoint the problem before going & buying shielding paint.Take it to a tech & get them to find out what's making it buzz.Re-soldering all the points doesnt discount a fault with the eq.I've played alot of Warwicks & buzzing &/or noise is never an inherant issue.If you bought this bass new & is under warranty,return it to the dealer.If you bought it used & it's been modified,Warwick can hardly be blamed for it.

Hey subisina, a bass old like that may have the shielding worned out. You can buy a graphite shielding spray (it it's not expensive) and spray it inside the control cavity and on the cover. Before that remove the pots, you want the graphite to be below them too. Also check the contyact between the cavity and the cover.

thats a strange 1.. I have had a bunch of Warwicks and have not run into this problem with any of them...

I had a problem like that with a Fender p-bass a long time ago and it was a ground wire that had come off...
 
ACtually I saw one with this problem. If you leave the bass alone it will be ok. But ... if the owner works inside the cavity and does a lot of changes and stuff, it will take the graphite out. This one has the electronics replaced ;-)
