i talked to warwick but i sent it back though my dealer

Then I guess it's just a lousy dealer... They should send you a new one if the one you got was defective. Should be in the warranty.

The last 2 digits of the serial number denotes the year, check to see if both basses are from the same year.

Hello Janome, and welcome to our forums mate:-)
First of all I am very sorry about your bass...

Very often, the problems are with the dealers some of them are not very good with the customers. Where do you live ?

So... as Greg said, you can check the serial No, and you will see the year of production. And solve the problem with your dealer. Remember that, your problem is with that specific store, not with Warwick customer service.

I am sorry we had to meet in this way, but welcoe to our forum mate, and you can write me personally if you need more help [email protected]

Sometimes, dealers will have basses in stock from 1 or 2 years old production. The basses we're making right now at the factory might not get to the dealers until a few months have passed, unless they are a custom shop order. I went to bass central and ordered an Infinity LTD last year and it turned out to be a 2004 model, it looked just like new, but it was 2 years old.

Yep,

my Thumb 4 BO was a 2001 model, although I got it spanking new in 2004.
