replacement parts?

I'm hunting down a few places to get replacement warwick parts... I'm in need of a brass jan1 for a 6 string broadneck thumb (55mm width) Wondering if anyone knows where I can order one besides basscentre (something preferrably in the US)
 
My favorite dealer to recommend our customers in the USA is Bass Central www.basscentral.com and they can be contacted at this e-mail address: [email protected] They have a great customer service and are capable of getting almost any bass product on the planet.

If for some reason you don't seem to get them to find you a JAN I feel free to contact the tech department at Dana B. Goods at [email protected] and they will help you out getting the parts you need.

I was wondering about the height on the jan1 compared to the jan2, I read the whole retrofitting guide but still wasnt clear on the height problem, if it is a problem. Without shimming (I pray I dont have to!) will the height of the jan1 be fine on my bass which originally had the jan2? or will I have to raise each string insanely high just to get them off the fretboard?
 
This all depends on how you remove the JAN II and how you sand down the glue after it. The JAN I is very easy to install and to adjust, I don't think you're going to have any trouble with it. As for the height of the strings when you put the JAN I, you will need to raise them until they feel comfortable to your playing style. This might mean a lot or very little depending on what you are looking for.
 
I guess what I was is the lowest height of the strings on the jan1 the same as the jan2? or is it lower? Like to get the strings barely off of the frets am I going to have to have the screws up real high? Or will I have to shim below the nut to get it up to the height that my jan2 was? Sorry if I'm confusing.

Technically the JAN II is a little bit higher than the JAN I, but it's barely noticeable. You won't need to raise the screws enough to a point in which is becomes a problem and you won't need the shim under the nut. So don't worry, and if you have any questions while intalling it, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail or write me through here.

Thank again Oliver! I called up DBG and they helped me out pretty fast... They hunted around in back and found me the jan1 for my 6 string broadneck thumb :D and sent it right out. I love those guys up there! It's amazing how nice they are and how fast they send out replacement parts! I've had to contact them a couple of times and everytime they set me up :D
