Fender, Rickenbacker, Fodera, Alembic, Music Man, Yamaha, Ibanez.
They are good instruments *, I love the all but I love Warwicks more.

Howerver, it is not fair to write their names F**R, Y***, etc, or even worse, to say Fenders are shit or something.

That's a reason I've joined this forum for the first time, I liked the way other brands were treated, so I supposed I could get pretty objective answers regarding Warwick.

And it's more difficult to write F***r that Fender, I never find those *** when needed.

*ok... Ibanez maybe not... (joking)

You stole my thoughts and spitted it allover the forum.

I'm with ya 100%*

* ... from now on ....

Hehe,

I always write Fender, and hey, I even openly admitted admiring the Jazz Bass, and even wanting to get one !! As a matter of fact, I love Ibanez too............I love all kinds of basses..............but at the same time, I don't find reading "F*nd*r" offensive or anything......It's a light form of irony I guess..........but you've got a good point though Florin.
Oh.............and I even own a Yamaha................woo-hoooooooo. 8)

Am I the only one who follows directions here?

Agreed Florin!

Thumperton and I were having a conversation the other day about how quickly people flame other basses (such as Spector) for example, even though they are very nice basses.

I kinda think, guys we know you're loyal to warwicks - you wouldn't be here otherwise, but give other basses a fair and objective chance!

I like to think that I'm open minded about most things. I've had a couple basses that I wasn't crazy about, but I wouldn't knock anything until I tried it. There's just something about the Warwicks that feel so good...

Indeed.....................

Many wars started from this kind of "us" and "them" thinking.............

I like hearing the bad points about any brand as long as it's tastefully done and I actually learn something. If some here feel like raggin on another brand for no reason I guess that's self expression but I exercise my right to choose to skip over it and find something I like. Some of you are pretty funny I'll admit and as long as this place is for bass players, even if I'm playing my Fender p, I'm in. We should keep it friendly either way so maybe we can get more than a handful of the growing memberlist to post here. If you can play, or want to....welcome aboard!

but hey, this is a warwick forum after all so maybe we felt there's just this unwritten rule that we cant mention fenders or the like (i actually bought a jbass after my corvette 5!).

it's like going to a soccer match and talking about the opposing team.

but i guess it's cleared up now eh.

Fenders, Ibanez, Rickenbacker, Fodera, Alembic, Music Man, Yamaha blah blah.... they're not obscene language anymore. yay!

Oh yes I'm with ya, who cares what the name is as long as it sounds good an plays well. I have 2 jazz bass - just added a '76 Jazz.... Trust me they have nothing to be ashamed for - they DELIVER!

nicly said :)

I always write Fender because I love Fender as much as I love Warwick. Warwick just happens to get used more... and... looked at more... and talked about more...

yeah...

To be honest,

I don't detect a negative vibe concerning other bass manufacturers; it's mostly teasing kind of talk....................Like I said before, spelling Fender with ****** isn't really that offensive to me, and I haven't read any harsh trashing to be honest..............I'm proud of the Warwick forumites. :D

Cheers,

Th*rdth*mB.....................hehehehe, teaaaaaaasing.

I am shure about that, for most of us it is. I've used F*er writing before I guess. But it's giving to the new forumites the impression that those are forbidden words, as Z3roG said...

We are Warwick not EB, we don't need to be defensive... Ok that was a bad joke, please a moderator delete my post...

..... oh...... I am a moderator...... nevermind :-)

Dang those small words Flo,

I had to copy paste the tiny thingies to MS Word, to read what you've been writing.......................hehe...........hey, since we're all cool about other brands, can I start an "off topic" about one of them ?? It's a serious, yet interesting issue in my opinion..................... 8)

Great topic Florin... after all we are here beacase we love Warwick, because we wanna learn more about Warwick, our just share with the others a wonderfull experience, called Warwick.. not because we hate other brands :) we shall express then our love for Warwick, not our (for some people) disagreement or dislike towards other instruments! Cheers!
