I really appreciate that. Many nice thoughts from Oz; I hope to visit there, as I have a friend near Sydney, Chantal, who makes some of the coolest Straps in the World...
That one down there goes on my Nirvana Black $$, and drives the laydeez wild!
In many respects I was very fortunate- I had Dad with me for a long time, and he had all his faculties until almost the very end; as well as at least reasonable health until his final decline.
That aside, it's NEVER easy for any of us- My ladyfriend, Nancy Lee lost both her parents when she was in her early 20's, and had to "grow up" and earn her way without any support.
Me-- Well, let's just say that especially as concerns being a musician/artist, there were plenty times when Dad saved my a** and I didn't deserve it.
That kind of unconditonal love is what gives meaning to the World and the Human race despite troubling times...
I feel Dad's and Mom's presence every day, I speak to them, and in their own way-They answer.
Missing them both, it's not easy now, after almost 2 years of caring for Dad.
But I know EXACTLY what he would tell me to do..as he had in many instances...
"Go on, move along! Don't dwell on what's done! That chapter is ended, go to the next!"
I understand, Dad, I will; I'm trying.
Thank You ALL for your kind words, I value them.
