Question regarding Tubepath 10.1 and cabs

Hi there,
I've just ordered a Tubepath 10.1 head.

I have two fine Ashdown ABM 410t cabs, which I plan to hook up with my Tubepath head.
However, I can see that the amp only has one speak-on speaker output and one 1/4 jack output.
The manual on this site says that the these two outputs are parallel, but only with the Tubepath 5.1(!?)
Does that mean it's a different story with the 10.1?
Can I connect the two cabs with those two outputs respectively. You know...so I have one speak-on cable running from the amp to cab1 and one 1/4 cable running from the amp to cab2?
It's a bit difficult to explain, so I hope you understand. I don't like the method where you connect the amp with cab 1 and connect cab 1 with cab 2.
Give me some feedback.
 
Hey man.
The 10.1 is the same as the 5.1.
Using speaker cable,either 1/4" or a Speakon,run from the head to cab 1,then from cab 1,to cab 2.
I trust both of your Ashdowns are 8 ohms each?
 
Hi,
On the tubepath 10.1, you only have a Speakon output only due to the very high power with the 1000 W available.
So, the only solution you have is to run Cab 1 with a Speakon cable from the amp, and then, from Cab 1 to Cab 2, but only of the 2 cabs are 8 ohms cabs, what I suppose it should be...

Let me try again.
I want to know if I can have a cable running from the 1/4 jack socket and the speakon socket at the same time
So that each of them are running a single cab respectively. To me that would be the ideal way, instead of the serial linking that you are suggesting.

So, On the tubepath 5.1, you can do it you can run the 2 cabs direct from the amp, but on the 10.1 you don't have any 1/4 output plug, there is only the speakon output... Check it again...

You're right. The 10.1 doesn't have the 1/4" jack socket.
Then I'll just figure out how to daisy-chain my two Ashdown cabs.
They're kinda weird, since they only have a single speakon socket and a single 1/4" socket. Not two of each, like the Warwick cabs.
I guess I can have a speakon cable running from the amp to cab 1, and then a 1/4" jack speaker cable from cab 1 to cab 2.

Yeah. They're 8 ohm cabs. No problems there.
Well, that's no biggie. Then I'll just go out and buy myself a 1/4" speaker cable and look forward to hearing the Tubepath in its fulll glory.

That's right, Florin.
I though daisy-chaining the cabs would result in serial linking, but that's not the case, fortunately! If that was the case (and which I feared), the two cabs together would amount to 16 ohm... which is NOT cool. I want ALL of the 1000 watts, baby!8:

I had an Ashdown ABM 500, but I missed just a little bit headroom. It was a fantastic amp, though.

Now I'm just gonna look for a used Warwick bass on eBay. I once had a Streamer Stage I, but I was stupid enough to sell it. I thought I could find something better, but I couldn't!
