Hey there,

Five months ago my sweet 25.1 decided to blow up and it has been in repairs now for five months. The reason, I have been told, for why it is taking so long to fix is because the parts are very hard to come by in NZ and that ordering them to NZ is very hard.

Does this sound right to you? What time frame should one expect to order new parts for a bass amp just barley a year old?

Cheers
Skintastic.

Hey man, sorry to hear you're being dicked around for so long.
Did you buy the amp new?& if so,is this a warranty repair, being handled by an authorised repairer?
I cant, for the life of me see eny reason why it would take over 5 months to get parts.
Hang in there & we'll see if we can get you sorted out.

Hi Greg. I had the amp for a little over a year so the warranty ran out. I gave it to the place I bought it from in NZ to repair.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi Greg,

They are the people that I am dealing with (their Takapuna store actually). They have been kind enough to offer me a replacement for the time being while I wait and I appreciate that but I would really like to get my amp back. I might give the K'road store a call to see what they say anyway, as you suggested.

Thanks heaps, I appreciate the help.

Just a quick update,

I did call the Auckland store and they were keen to take the amp. I have an aquantance that works for the rock shop and I asked him if waiting for five months was normal, within a day the Takapuna branch had called and apologised as well as offereing to give me a voucher. So I guess it wasn't the wait for the parts that was slowing them down because they have told me that i will be getting it back on Wednesday.

Thanks for the help and the support. Much appreciated!
