Question on maintanance on the FNA Koa top

I am still waiting for my new used Bass (Corvette FNA LTD 2004) to arrive at my door. I was doing some research on the Maintenance on the Warwick basses and I know that it should be wax, but and I found out this statement “Unlike most other Warwick basses with natural wood finishes, this bass comes with a clear satin finish that further enhances the beauty of the koa top. Because of this coating, you will not need to wax this bass". I am trying to find out if this is a true statement and if it is, are we talking about just the body with the koa top or the entire bass, I am rookie in the maintenance of the Warwick basses, can some one school me on this
 
my darklord comes with an oil finish... i clean it with a slight damp cloth first, then a clean dry cloth to get the excess moisture out.

i wax the back of the neck... just because it feels nice doing it :)

Yep, just the body has the satin finish on it. It's sealed, so it does not require waxing. The surface could still do with some periodic cleaning, though, with a slightly damp rag (use guitar polish or just a smidge of water).

I'd wax the back of the neck and lemon oil the fretboard every time I changed the strings (every 1-2 months for me). Be sure to get all the oil off the fretboard before re-stringing.

ok, what I am tracking is the neck is the only part needs wax, a wet damp rag for the body, and lemon oil for the fret board. thanks this really help. what strings work good with this bass, what you all recomend.

the rag shouldnt be too wet... just wet enough to rub the dirt off
 
Yes.....do not wax that body! You will be sorry! It's a clear satin finish...not a natural oil finish. Wax only the neck and lemon oil the tigerstripe ebony fretboard.

Nice bass BTW, i love mine. It's the most versatile bass i own!
 
lemon oil to clean and moisture and guitar polish for the body. wax for the neck and strings.... gotta say either Warwick EMP's or Black labels or Rotosounds (not so kee for me on this) since they need to be tapered. lemon oil to moisture the fretboard, clean it up and also make those beautiful brass frets shine like a mirror! 8)
 
Here's a pic of mine....this should wet up your appetite! Make you GAS for yours to come in! It's a amazing bass. My favorite LTD model to date.
