Question about hardware on SSIIs

I'm considering buying a 2002 SII, but the hardware color it has is not my first choice. I am thinking of getting new hardware and doing a swap, but wanted to make sure that it will fit. Can anyone tell me if the current hardware is the same as the ones used in '02? Also, how hard will it be to do this myself? Finally, anyone have a recommendation for a place to get hardware in the USA?

Do you mean the gold-colored hardware? If the answer is yes, they've been using that color for a decade or two. My ss2 is from '98 and it has gold hardware.

I'm pretty sure it's the same now as it was then. It's very easy to do yourself.

Hey Jim, yes, we use the same hardware, so if you buy new one it will fit.
It is also very easy to replace it by yourself, just some screws
