Greetings from Germany!
On the 6th of December 2005 I acquired a 5-string version of the Warwick Corvette standard (standard number D-062154-99) from my trader on site:
InSound GmbH
owner: Andreas Grossmann, Jörg Grams Gablenzstr. 5 D-24114 Kiel Germany phone: (0431) 665554 faxes: (0431) 665553
email: [email protected]
I am really fond of the bass guitar with regard to its sound, feeling and handling and it has become very dear to me during the years. Unfortunately, it arrived at the end of April this year that, with the restringing and screwing up of the deep H page, the 6-part headstock suffered a deep tear along one glue seam on height of the H string. Within my recollection, the bass hadn’t been put out before to blows, falls or other effects of violence; hence, it is incomprehensible to me how such a thing could happen. I have contacted my trader immediately and have asked him to find a solution with Warwick. As a result, I was assured by InSound that everything would find its order and they would contact me immediately, as soon as Warwick would send a feedback to them. Indeed, nothing has done itself till this day. In spite of repeated inquiry and probing, no finger was bent there at InSound. Besides, I had to find out that InSound probably is no longer part of the Warwick-trader's list. I play in two bands and it would be a great pity if I had to renounce my bass on the long run. Though I have, as an interim solution, a spare bass, however, it does not belong to me and concerning its sound quality, the substitute is unable to hold a candle to the Corvette.
I’m really annoyed by InSound’s tactic of putting their customers off and no longer willing to support this poor behaviour.
My question: What should I do? Who can help me? What would you recommend?
(I have photos of the broken headstock, as well as the invoice document of InSound, which I can mail when required)
Yours sincerely,
Vincent (Kiel,Germany)
