hi iv had my pro fet 4 for about 3 years now and its woked fine, untill recently. it has started cutting out every now and then for some reason. When it does this, sound stops coming out of my cabinet but the amp stays powered on and all the lights are working. The only thing that is strange is that the light by the mute switch is on even though the switch is not in the "mute" position. If i turn the amp off for a few minutes it will work normally again. I know it's not an ohm problem and the cabinet i use is new and works fine with my backup head. maybe an overheating problem??

That sounds alot like one of the protection circuits is kicking in & saving your amp from further damage.It needs a service.Do you have a local amp repair tech?
