I have too much time on my hands, If you have read my little experiment with D.I.Y. tattooing then you know this already... So I'm going to hunt down a small peice of ovangkol and make a truss rod cover to match my thumb... I will post...
The pin to which I attach my strap keeps coming unscrewed on my Thumb bass. The body wood is ovangkol. What's the best way to keep this from happening? I've contemplated coating the screw with epoxy and re-screwing, but I thought I should check with the experts here.
