Warwick experts; what's a good price for a Warwick Thumb BO 5 stringer in mint condition. in onther words how far can i go before the bidding gets silly?

I'm not expert, and I don't have a thumb, but thumbing (not pun intended) through ebay says $1800, $2000 maybe? I see new ones going for $2700, but you always get that price drop if its not *actually* new, even if it is in mint condition.

I'd wait for some other people to chime in.

Europe seem to be the bargain bin for Warwick & I wouldnt go beyond 1400 euros for a used Thumb bo.That might be a bit high & with all auctions, proceed with caution.

Please mate, get second & even third opinions on that.As Mr.Rabble just pointed out,you might be able to get away with paying half what I quoted.I live in Australia & the price of Warwicks here is alot more than Europe or the USA.
Good luck & maybe give Mr.Rabble a PM before you buy anything. That's is of course if he's cool with that.

bhuygen, I've done a search.
Right now I can't find one for sale here in Italy, but they pop up quite often...

Thanks Mr Rabble, right now i am negotiating about the price and for now i am aiming for 900 euros max. i hope he will take the bite for a lower price :P

Whoa, how did you get that done!

I got my thumb BO 5 new from bass centre fro £900 they got this clear out thing and theres a second had 4 string for £400 and new ones for about £700.

As for general second had stuff its about 1000 euros give or take abit...

I guess it depends where you are. in the US the prices a re sometimes lower than some places in Europe.. now there are some places in Europe that they sell them as cheap as dirt. In the Phillipines and Australia they are expensive as gold according to what i have read so it really depends on where you are and also the shipping costs that will be compromised if you decide to buy it from another country.

I sold my Thumb BO 5 string for 900USD. Ive seen people selling theirs for more, but people just arent biting on those ones. GC still has my old Thumb BO 5 string on sale for 1600USD, and I sold it to them back in December, so I made out great!
