Pots for 91 warwick dolphin

hi i need to replace the pots on my 91 Dolphin as the shafts are bent,the ones in the links below are spec'ed in the wiring diagram on the warwick site.




My treble/bass pot appears different from the one pictured with an attached circuit board, i have attached a picture if it helps. Can you help with identifying the correct parts?

Steve, in the picture, is it the pot on the left that is the bass/treble? It looks like a triple-decker. Does it have a push/pull switch built in?

Is the pot on the right (with the circuit board) a dual?

If it's the pot on the right we're talking about, it's likely that the replacement pot needs to be mounted to the same circuit board. That will take some fancy desoldering/resoldering. You might consider having a pro do it for you.

Thanks for the reply, the pot on the left is the volume/balance. The pot on the right is the bass/treble but the circuit board appears to be part of the pot as contacts are shaped to fit the board if that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense. The circuit board land patterns were designed to fit the lead spacing the pot has. The overall subassembly, (pot and circuit board) are part of a harness. The replacement pot will not include the circuit board. The right part will have the correct lead spacing to fit the board.

The repair would amount to removing the bass/treble subassembly from the body of the bass (leaving wires attached), carefully desoldering the original pot and removing it from the circuit board without damaging any land patterns, inserting the new pot and resoldering.

For a tech, its a fairly routine procedure.

Thanks Escobon, it makes sense now. The soldering holds no fear as i have just completed a Monte allum mod to my Boss Cs-3 ( fiddly but very worth while) I have a decent electric desoldering pump and a decent iron
and am not afraid to use them!
