This post is post number 500 for me, and as such, thought I should make it something special. But now that I sit here with fingers poised to spring into some inspiring words of wisdom or comedic brilliance; nothing springs to mind. I really thought it would be cool to be able to announce the purchase of, or better yet, show pictures of my new CS Warwick or even RockBass, but since at the moment I can’t even afford to pay attention, that won’t be happening either. I thought maybe I could have a cake to commemorate the occasion…
But frankly I find the taste of a virtual cake very unsatisfying and am still usually hungry immediately afterwards no matter how much I eat, so what’s the point.
No, as I sit here I come to the realization and have to admit that post #500 will be nothing special and will most likely just be like the majority of the previous 499 posts I made; long winded and pointless. Then again, like the previous 499 posts I’ve written, I’m sure this one will give me a certain amount of enjoyment to write.
So I guess I will take this opportunity to reflect on how much I enjoy and appreciate being a member of this forum and all the new friends I have made here. I would like to thank you all for making me feel welcome and I look forward to becoming even better friends with you all. As most of you may have noticed, I tend to go for a laugh whenever possible, but I like to share whatever I knowledge I have when I get the chance. But I do want you all to know, that I have learned a lot from the members of this forum and for that I am very grateful.
So thank you one and all for making this the greatest Bass Community on the internet and for allowing me to be part of it. If I could, I would take each and every one of you out for a beer. But since I can’t I will conclude by saying (and I hope Greg will forgive me)….
