That engraving is ace! It's very likely that it was done in house...when I worked at Patrick Eggle guitars, we made a guitar for Brian May. I wrote a short message to him in the control cavity before it got overpainted with shielding paint.....no one knows what it says except me! heh heh heh

My only past bass was the Upright I was renting. My collections mostly crap, but im only 18 so in time.

Aint nothin crap about MusicMan SUB. They discontinued it cause it was cutting into Stingray sales too much, it was too good for the price. Be glad you've got one. A used one sold in less than ten minutes for more than I paid for mine new at the local Guitar Center last month.

Depends on a lot, condition primarily, also whether it's passive or active. I got mine from Guitar Center 2 years ago for 500 new, it had a tiny ding out of the back, recently they sold an 'okay condition' (according to the sales guy there) for a bit more than that and it was on the shelf for about 10 minutes.

its not so much that it cut insto the Stingray sales, but that EBMM was taking a loss on each SUB bass due to the cost for them making them being higher than what price the public got.

That being said, the SUB bass is a steal, and while doesnt sound quite like a Stingray IMHO it still rocks. I think you coud sell it for 500 Doc.
