Original Streamer

Hi guys just wondering if you knew where i can get lots of info on the old streamer. the original one that is. when they were not classified into stage 1 and 2.

The original Streamer was the bass that later become the Stage 1.

The very early one had 5 pieces neck, 3 Wengé + 2 Maple; and Cherry body wings.
These Streamers were built in 1984-1985.
The oldest among these have "Licensed By Spector" instead of "Streamer Bass" on the trussrod cover, and don't have the W on the headstock.

Around 1985, they changed the neck, replacing Maple with Cherry in neck's laminates.

In 1987, Warwick introduced the Streamer Stage 2.
With the introduction of the new bass, the older Streamer become Stage 1.
Notice that the trussrod cover continued to carry "Streamer Bass" on it, for both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 models, until they finished their stock of covers.
WIth the introduction of the Stage 1 in 1987, Warwick changed woods again, replacing Cherry with Maple on both body wings and neck stripes.

Hi Do you know when they changed the Headstock from spector to the current Warwick

I have a A 86 with the current head stock.

+ Some Streamers have Warwick Hardware (Warwick printed on Tuning Pegs & Bridge) and some don't

One guy at the forum has a Streamer with spector headstock but already
warwick on the hardware.

Both my 86s already have the current headstock but neither has warwick hardware

so ....

And from what I understand the current headstock design was first implemented on the thumb, and then applied to the streamer...
