Original Star bass on the bay

Honestly, that bass looks hard to play. Is that only my impression or are those strings too close together?

They look way close. I would have to use a pick on that one...

You could also change the bridge. It's just a rosewood bridge that's as easy to change as a nut.

Most of the time after buying a brand new Wic you have little or no money left to invest in modding. (of course there are some exceptions) but why getting a bass that you need to modify in the first place? or with the intent of modifying it? does this make sense?

The title of this thread is,"Original Star bass on the bay".
This bass is used,not new.
I was pointing out the fact that the bridge can be changed to accomodate a wider string spacing.
People's personal finances are none of my busssiness.
Does this make sense?

Sorry I do not have access to ebay here where I am at (is blocked). I had the idea was a new one. You're right if this is used I guess you have more money to play with and do mods (especially if you get it dirt cheap). my apologies I had a brian cramp when I read the title. Please accept my apologies.

looks like an alembic string spacing

Wow, this was weird..... I saw the exact same bass on norwegian television yesterday, but with dark blue finish. It was a rerun of a music video from the 70`s.
