opinions

find your "imagine" scenario far fetched,

Yes...a little  but I have had a singer nearly bump me off stage before...singers - they've got no spatial awareness (it's all taken up with ego).

thanx a lot golem really appreciate it...the thing is that i'm
gonna be using that spector for playing metal and i just
thought that the active emg's would fit just well till i can
afford to buy a thumb NT or a streamer SSI....
`

I don't wanna rehash the whole thing about the difference
between active PUs vs active basses [aka "active EQ]. I've
just checked the SpectorBass site and, sure enuf, most of
the Euro series has actual active EMGs. I've got more than
a few basses with active EMGs, and they have their various
tonal palettes. I hope you are clear on the idea that if you
get a TonePump Spector, the insane tonal qualities come
from the TonePump, not from the active PUs.

Frinstintz, mine is a USA bolt-on, and the one I sold to my
friend is a Czech bolt-on. Both have TonePumps and both
sound similar to each other ..... but mine has EMG active
PUs while his has EMG-HZ passive PU's. It's all about the
TonePump. It pretty much overrides differences in PUs.

Right now you think of the Spector as an interim bass, just
something to use right now cuz you don't have the price of
a Thumb or a Streamer in your pocket. I find that amusing;
and after 3 months with the Spector you will look back and
also find it amusing ......

You may still want the unique voice of the Thumb or some
other exotic bass later on, but you will find them harder to
buy, cuzza the money you have PERMANENTLY tied up in
the Spector. I say PERMANENTLY, cuz you'll refuse to sell
it, or trade it in, or even think of parting from it.
`

that is true i won't sell it cuz i love it...and who knows how long it is gonna take for me to buy a real high-end warwick...for now i'll just settle with a high end spector. i always thought about spector LX NT is the bass that is very close as you can get to warwick SSI or SSII and the LX...i know many would disagree that is just how i feel about it...

Oh man, you got me droolin' over
Spector's now!!!

Rehashed my fondness!!!

This thing has REALLY caught my eye.

=O

actually that's the same model that i'm getting, but mine has black hardware...i agree it's a killer bass :D

I saw the pic on the previous page.

I would much rather prefer black
hardware, however, I couldn't see
that as an option, except on the
35's.

Color me green, with envy.

I really like Spector basses.I hate to say it,but the crown inlays just ruin it for me.I spose they're better than shark fins.
*snaps fingers 3 times & jiggles away.

+1. Not enough to ruin it for
me, but I do detest them.

Stop.

You're killing me.

And my Proline has started
to look at me funny... Maybe
I should put her in the other
room while I commit blasphemy.

Right On, Congratz on the new bass man. I've always like Spector, just have never played the model your getting. But very cool, again congratz, and yes pics would be nice. Would also like to hear your review of it once you get it.

Peace

You should put that thing
in a gun safe, for fear of
me ever finding out where
you call home. :)

j/k.

Congrats, and I can't wait
to increase my *GAS* upon
your pictures when you post
them.
