One handed bass player?

Does anyone know about this guy Bill Clements? I know he plays for "The Kalamazoo Music Group" but theyre site wont load up.

I've heard he sounds pretty similar to Cliff Burton, But plays all the notes tapping style, See how he's missing his right hand.

He's really good. I saw some of that youtube stuff last year. The video I saw had a not-so-good drummer, but his bass playing was great.
 
I told my wife about him, And now she's interested in picking up an instrument. She only has use of one arm due to a stroke... Now she's thinking about giving an instrument a try with that tapping technique. I'm thinking about building her something compareable to a chapman stick.
 
It's weird... but sometimes being limited in some way leads you to developing a completely different technique... with amazing results, like Django Reinhardt.

Thumbin... why doesn't your wife try playing keyboards?

Django Reinhardt is my biggest musical influence.
 
I saw the best Django documentary a couple weeks ago.The man was phenominal.

I'm not sure... She says it's hard to play with one hand... But then wants to try to play bass with one hand. She a very confusing lady :P
 
I finally got to hear Bill play and he's amazing! Now only if I could save the youtube videos to my digicam to show my wife :P

The Tony Iommi story is quite amazing... he was just on the verge of greatness (first time around), then manages to slice off his fretting fingertips in a hideous industrial-type accident... how much fortitude and strength of character does it take to come back from that?

I tend to follow the Homer Simpson philosophy: "Remember, boy... you never get anywhere by trying... so best not try!" :wink:
