Hi guys,

another question proberbly asked time and time again. I have a FNA Jazzman with the 3band EQ on board, im getting a noticeable amount of distortion from my D & G strings when i 'pop', is this normal? caused by popping too hard and overloading the eq or is ma bass broke?! lol

If this is normal will it do my system perminant damage?

Thanks

Mark

The MM pickup on the FNA Jazzman is very sensitive. I sugesst you take it get set up or just lower the pickup a little bit on the treble side and that should solve the problem.

on the treble side? would that the the lower end of the pick up closer to the g & d string or just one side of the pick-up?

No. I mean making it lower in the D & G strings. Farther away from the strings on that single side of the pickup.

Maybe a silly question but...did you check your battery?
That's a very reasonable question because that is exactly what happens when the battery goes low / mats

It was one of the 1st things i check actually, even though the bass is under 3months old i tohught it was a good idea, and i will lower the pick-up a bit too.
