I am considering getting a Katana NT 5 Fretless and I have a few questions. How durable are maple fretboards? Would it not erode much with flatwound strings and how does it compare with the ebony? They sure do look nice. = )

How often does this have to be done? i got my bass in may i haven't done this yet ? though i have been waxing my bass weekly for the first month now i do it monthly. I tihnk i need ot change the strings soon anyways, whats good to get rid of tarnish on frets?
