Old thumb vs newer thumb 5 nt?

Also, the bass boost seems much more powerful on the 2009, creating a bit of a "muffled" tone, compared to the 1990 which stays clear.
 
The 2009 is on the second clip (19-19-58).

With the bass boost, I prefer the 1990. Beside this, hard to tell. I think the 1990 has better low-mids and bottom, but the ebony fb on the 2009 gives it the best high register.

BTW, why you don't put the amp on the bottom of the rack? I suppose it is pretty heavy, sooner or later something will break there :)

Haha thanks! I have the amp one space from the bottom so that way it can breath since it has vents all over. Ive had amps over heat and dont plan on going through that again.
 
Maybe you look for rubber feet, so it has space, but it doesn't float like that :-)
