Just wondering what non-bass playing influences do you have?

Chuck Schuldiner (Death's guitarist - RIP) - I very highly look up to Chuck, Everytime I listen to Death the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I've been playing along to alot of his stuff lately :D

Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom - Lead guitarist)

Jimi Hendrix

Bach

Beethoven

Mozart


Just a few off the top of my head...
 
- Layne Staley (Alice In Chains)
- Peter Steele (Type O Negative)
- Till Lindemann (Rammstein)
- Bill Hicks (comedian)
- Maynard James Keenan (Tool)

Those five people have influenced me most.
 
Any decent drummer, always felt like I could be a 'great' drummer but then I get behind a kit... I can manage boom tick boom boom tick boom tick boom boom tick

Any singer with true soul and feeling.

Funny but I never include guitarists in my list of 'want to be'/influences! Does that say something about me or guitarists?

Chuck is also my main musical influences (damn the guy did a world tour with a brain stem cancer)

the singer in pagan's mind
 
I'd say Enrique Bunbury from spanish rock band Heroes del Silencio and a deeply appreaciated friend of mine Karel Kalaf, who has directly influenced the way I play music.

I have to agree with you there, very influential guy, i love his work.

My other non-bassist influences would have to be:
-Jordan Rudess (Keyboard player from Dream Theater)
-Adam Jones (Guitarist form Tool)
-MJK gets another mention cos he is that good =P
