My new (to me) 2000 Thumb NT 5!!

I sold my other basses to afford this, but it's well worth it. Sounds so amazing, and the neck is flatter than my old FNA Jazzman. Forms nicely to my growing belly.

The stripe on the back of the neck really sets it off! Cool.. Very cool! 8) ~M~

Beautiful Bass. I really like the grain, and I agree that the stripe along the back really sets it off.

The wenge seems a lot lighter on this than my Jazzman. I've also been getting much less sleep since it's arrival!! The funny thing is, it arrived in a Fender bag inside a Squier box. The nerve!! :D

Great, great bass.
Thumb NT basses with Ovangkol/Bubinga neck and Wenge fingerboard are rare.
It was the transition between Wenge/Bubinga & Ovangkol necks.

You've got a nasty beast !

The Fender bag and Squier box is a trick to make other people not jaleous and a guarantee to avoid a steal during the shipment...

Very nice. I'm a big fan of that wood grain, I wish my Vette wasn't red. I also wish I could afford another bass.

I hope you and your new friend get along well.

There's nothing quite like having Santa bring you a Thumb NT5!

That is a great looking Thumb, and you are lucky indeed to find one with a wenge fretboard.

My Thumbs joined the family during the holidays too, (The BO4 in 2002, and the NT5 last year.)

Warwicks are incredible basses, everyone has their favorite and the Thumb Bass is mine. When I'd first played an NT5 with those two single coil pickups crammed down close to the bridge, I dropped my bag of marbles! I really don't play much of anything else besides the Thumbs.

This year for Christmas I'm just going to lay in a supply of strings & beeswax and have fun.

Enjoy!

May the Thumb be with you, my friend!!

He is absolutely thumbalistic!!

Stunning! Congratulations!
May you make beautiful music together for many years to come
