New Streamer Jazzman-missing Accessories

Hi i have just bought a Streamer Jazzman from Reverb (was Soundcontrol) in the UK and i didnt get the gig bag as they couldnt find it. They did give me a hard case though. unfortunately, I am guessing that in the gig bag were the truss rod key, allen keys, manual and strap lock tops.
So i have a couple of questions-
It is Honey violin oil finish-does it need waxing?
How can i tell which type of the straplocks (or security locks) are fitted? i have looked at the shop and (althpough they are not recessed) they could be either Warwick or Schaller. Are they compatible with each other?
Lastly, can anyone confirm that there is only 1 Truss Rod Key?!
Any help would be appreciated as i need to get the thing set up!

hey there,

first off you never wax a color oiled bass , if you do the color will fade and ruin the finish. the strap locks install are just standard warwick ones and are availible at the warwick shop online. lastly i got 2 truss rod keys with my CS buzzard both the same of course, just a spare, i think the spare one was in with the users kit folder you get.

if i were you i would contact my warwick national dealer and have them send you a users kit, after all it would have been included in the price you paid for the bass.

You need a 1,5mm (not sure now about the little one) , 2,5 mm, and 5 mm (for trussrod) allen keys, you can find them anywhere, don't worry :-)

They gave you the flightcase, that worth more than the gigbag + users kit, so I guess you won here.

Enjoy your new bass, is considered by many players one of the the best Warwicks around

i will contact Warwick later adbout the top locks and user kit and see what happens!
 
just be careful with the truss rod. it's made of fairly soft metal, and it's easy to strip the nut with an aftermarket allen wrench
 
ok mate thanks for the tip. i have contacted Warwick (sent an enquiry) so will wait and see what they say.
