New neck profile only available for 34inch scale?

Just got a response from the custom shop telling me that a short scale neck is not possible with the new neck profile option.Someone have to choose between the shorter scale and the flatneck option on a 34" scale. Why ?

Well, all I can say is that we listen to your wishes, and we are trying to make things possible. So... in the future we will have this option too for small scale basses, but now we cannot offer it.

there is now a slimmer, more D-shaped neck profile available alongside the regular, thicker U-shaped one.
