Well, knowing that there is A LOT of luthier's culture in the Markneukirchen neighborhood, I do think it's a wise choice.
I would have tried to outsourced the sanding/painting/assembly in Czech Republic (which is a Stone's throw from Markneukirchen), and lower the prices. (Buit I'm no HPW, hence that could have been a mistake).

Marketing speaking, I don't know if it's good. It keeps the "Deutsche Qualität" in front, with the local outsourcing to keep the "low CO2" alive. Which is good. But my main concern would be having two warwick levels under the same name, and only differenciated between Handcrafted and "Made" in Germany. Confusing.

I personnaly like the Spector Approach : USA/Czech Republic/China. Three levels of quality, three price ranges. Clear.

What would be interesting is to see the prices, now. :-)
 
I do have a question:

If they're being made in Germany, what's with the distinction to have every instrument but the Corvette in gloss finish, and only the Corvette in satin?

Thanks, I like this line, it's way cool, looks like Ovangkol necks are back, except for the Streamer CV, which now comes in 5-STRINGS!!! What's the pickup on that?

What I do not completely get.

I remember the argument that warwick was actually losing money offering the german corvette at about 1200 Eur.
Therfore we got PS at a similar price level.
now the corvette is back as it was back then (made in Germany) basically below the original price level?

I dunno - Fender is the big daddy of them all, and they have all sorts of pricing through their different lines. Some lines even have instruments made in different places. One's called the Warwick series, one's called the Pro series. One has wenge, one was ovangkol.

I think this gives Warwick the perfect opportunity to put a fancy R on Rockbass headstocks instead of the W, because if it's good enough to wear the W, it's good enough to wear it's own letter too. W = Germany, R = China.
 
A Pro 2 seems like an obvious choice for a Rockbass. I mean, strap a Dolphin BO body on one of those Bootsy/Zender sig necks with the deep neck pockets....

Economics are not my strength :-) Maybe it has to do with improved productivity, I remember the open doors in 2007, it was like stone age compared today, a lot of more manual, time consuming work. Also outsourcing last stages drop the prices as well.

So if they're going back to being built like they were in 2007, when can a get a Streamer Stage II built like a 2007 model? I'd love a cheaper Stage II with the older style body and a thick, ovangkol neck. My favorite!
 
I don't know when or if it will be a Streamer Stage 2 in this line.
 
Probably not. My guess is no cheap NT models but you never know...
 
So if we are saying like 2007 does that mean the older thicker neck profile, or the current one?

Also looks like Jazzman PU configuration would not be available

I´m sure Florin meant the production level, not the specs.

And why no NT models? For example Infys or Thumbs in black, white, red. There would be a difference to the natural finishes of the higher "All Warwick" production and because of the NT construction a differentiation to the chinese models.

It seems there is a NT streamer being offered. With the new PDF there is the option for satin finishes listed too, which is nice.
 
The website isn't exactly known for bleeding edge accuracy and currency, so I'm sure this will all be clear as details get sorted out.
