new forum????

I actually find that I don't mind the dark colour scheme now that the contrast has been reduced.

The old colours (where the background was closer to black) made me dizzy to read, but this is fine.
 
Thanks all for the positive replies. While I am still tweaking colours here and there (if I manage to find which is which in our incredibly complex backend), this is pretty much how the colour scheme is going to work out. If you have anything you want changed or anything you think doesn't look good, but don't know what to change, please tell me and I'll see what I can do.

Biggest change I made today is make the fixed layout bigger. I should now be perfect for screen resolutions of 1024x768 and up. If you are running 800x600 for some reason you can select the fluid layout for a little more ease of use.

If you would make the thread titles yellow when brosing the forum i would appreciate it...
 
My screen is set to a high resolution (1280 X 1024) and I am still finding overlap. One place in particular is the the forum home, all the text in the middle part is blocked by the left column. I understand the forum is still in work, just trying to help.
 
Or, what if the posts took up less space? Look at my post and and look how much space there is between this text and my signature. see what I mean? lolz

I'm in 1440x900 with none of these problems :/

Guess what, just fixed that :)

And pretty damn happy because it took me two days to find where I could set this :)

I cannot reproduce this, please try setting the forum to Fixed with the dropdown menu in the lower left corner. If the problems persist, please make a screenshot and send it to [email protected]

edit: Ok, I managed to reproduce this with IE6. Please update to IE8 or Mozilla Firefox if you are using an earlier version of IE.

Unfortunately, that did not do the trick. Thanks for your help though, I'll send a screenshot. Perhaps I need a browser update.
 
the search bar that pops up into the main-frame (e.g. "member list" "member search" ) has white background and white (or light light grey) font - unreadable imo.
But maybe it's my browser.

btw, i have to say, I am quite satisfied with the change in the header. Everyone who saw me on this site thought it was a gun xD

What is wrong with the image uploader? i wanted to upload some corvette photos of mine, they finished uploading, but never appeared in my album. I tried this several times, spent almost an hour fighting this.
