My new Thumb 5 is here!!!

Dude, any picture with a wick in it is a good one (as long as it is of decent quality)

Beautiful ovangkol, but you really do have to see it in person to fully appreciate it

Yeah, I had no idea it was that dark, but I love it!!! That thing is stout as well and has some nice weight to it.

Zero complaints from me. Get to use it tomorrow for a rehersal, so I should be in heaven! :-)

Gonna take me a little time to get used to the neck and the 34" scale, but it shouldn't be too bad considering I will be playing every day now. My other basses are 35" scale.

Nice score Tim.
This bass will impress you beyond belief, there's no other bass like it.

I can't wait to find out! Thanks!!!

If anything I prefer having wieght to my bass. Not too much obviously, but it feels, as well as sounds like an absoloute behemoth... and without ovangkols' density you wouldn't get the growl. I'm trying my new $$ in band practice tomorrow, really looking forward to hearing the change in our low end. growl!

congrats on the Thumb. I have one and will be getting another one in the next 2 months or so.

This is time to rejoice. Enjoy the beast.

Congrats - looks great!

By the way, that "kid in a candy store" feeling doesn't go away... I still feel like that every day when I pick up my "go-to bass" Thumb NT! :D

I also love my new Dirty Blonde fretless Thumb LTD. It's good having two Thumbs - on my hands and in my basses!

Two Thumbs up! 8)

Yes, the pictures make it seem much lighter, I thought that anyway, but I was stunned how amazing it looks in real life!

I think thats the rule, Warwicks look amzing in pictures, but in real life you have to check your shorts!

Congratulations on your new Thumb Bass, very nice indeed. Good luck and enjoy! :)

We had a rehersal today and the tone is almost overwhelming. Even with my small rehersal amp it sounded great. You want to put it on a plate and eat it, thats how good it is. You guys were right though, I can see myself smiling and loving it everyday. I can't wait to play it through my Ampeg rig. Life will never be the same! :D

I smell a Thumb frettless coming!

Tim

As they say... one less of them, one more of us!

Welcome to the Thumb BO club!

Hehe,

sounded a bit controversial (religion wise)............

Yep. That's right. If you plug in your Wic and turn on the amp you know there are no better words to describe the sound besides a beast especially those $$'s.

Some beasts are amicable like the X-Men character which has more brains than me for sure but yeah it kinda contradicts each other but anyways you all got the idea.

LOL

it's all cool.

Nice Thumb.

Gorgeous bass there mate, but they put the body on upside down. :D

LOL Warwick did a good thing a few years back by making lefty's for the same price as the righty's. All the more reason for lefty's to buy a Warwick or two... or ten.

Tim

Can't argue there mate. I'm a leftie, but when I got me first bass lefties were extremely expensive. So I learned to play right handed. Thankfully being left handed is, evidently, an evolutionary advance, and we're way more adaptable.
