My dream warwick (that can never be made)

OK so i tried to do a mock-up on this one and .. lets say I'm not fantastic at them ahhaha. Here it goes:


OK here's the full specs:

Construction: NT (hidden like a Stage II)
Matched Headstock: Mac Ebony
Nut: JAN (either I or III)
Scale: 34"
Frets: 24
Fingerboard: Wenge
Inlays: none
Neck woods: Wenge/bubinga (like a thumb)
Body Wood: Mac Ebony top, Olive tree back with black dividing veneer
Finish: Natural Oil
Pick-ups: MEC Twin J, J
Electronics: MEC
Bridge: warwick 2 peice
Straplocks: warwick
Hardware colour: Black
LED's: On side of fretboard (not front) and W on headstock

OK I think that's it, Basically Warwick will never agree to make it (not that i can afford it haha)

I'm not really 100% on all of it but the main thing i was unsure about is the amount of strings.

Was also considering 4 or 5 string with a hipshot tremolo.


What do you guys think?

P.S Should have got Jan to do the mock-up really ahahahha
 
Well the only problem here is the NT construction, all the rest is fair game, even the Fortress shape...

Hold on, yeah, the 6-string, just counted them...

In 5-string bolt-on should be no problem..
 
I've always thought that the fortress design was perfect for a 6 sting neck. Oh well. Great mock idea though.

It does look a bit like a five due to rescaling some parts. I think wouldn't mind the less strings but the NT construction is what makes it look awesome (although i didn't do a mock-up of that).

Do Warwick do hipshot tremolo's? (like )

I mean its not like I'm really ever going to be able to afford it anyway lol

6 string bolt on is possible thru the CS no? The other problem is the TJ and J pickups in 6 strings

I was thinking the TJ, J was an issue on a 6 as well, I don't think a 6 bolt-on is possible though you never know ... where flo? he usually knows :D
 
Sorry guys, soapbars for 6 strings... It was a J prototype for Markus Setzer , but I don't think it is still available now. And we never had TJ for 6 strings...
 
Since they never made an "official" 6-string fortress, I don't think that the 6-string is a possibility. Of course here the TJ pickup also poses a problem, since that doesn't exist in 6-strings...

LED's: On side of fretboard (not front) and W on headstock
Strings: 6? or ... 5?


Also do warwick fit hipshot tremolo's ? (asking mainly for if it was a 4 or 5) I've seen they do kahler trems but they look a bit bulky and ugly to me.

P.S Forgot to put that I want a ramp in bewteen the pickups (is that possible) and can i choose the wood?
 
Yup , looks doable...

As for hipshot tremolos, as far as I know, the only tremolo option available is the kahler.

Keep in mind that the hipshots need quite a chuck of wood to be carved out of the body in order to attach the springs in the back...

Yea I know I was looking into them for the bass I'm building but I can't afford one .. currently.

Your dream instrument is realizable you know! Just one thing that we don´t offer, the ramp...
 
The ramp can't be hard to make...wasn't there one on a black fretless Streamer? Or was that an extension of the fingerboard?
 
We did it in the past when the Custom Shop was not so famous... Now we have so many orders and requests that we have to select options that make sense for the most of people... Otherwise it would be too difficult to manage for us, and to understand for the customers.
 
Well i did make a ramp for my streamer so i suppose i could make one just would want to ebony probably so could get hold of that.

Sorry did u say Warwick fit hipshot tremolo's or?

Well not I pretty much just need £3000-4000 .... lol
