The world of pickups and preamps is huge... You need to try some for yourself to find the desired sound. Or simply to trust your high end bass as it is, and to focus more on what can you do - Learh how to obtain a good sound, and practice a lot. You lose a lot of time looking for different pickups and preamps.
Now... you are asking very general questions about OUR preferrences. We cannot advise you here. There is no "better" ones. If you want to have an Idea, then you need to search the internet for your answers, not to ask... That's what I do! You cannot find good information if you ask, because the question is too generic.
About the technical questions about Seymour Duncan, you really need to ask them, because they know way better than us. Even if we reply to you, there are chances to give you wrong answers...
It is obvious for me that you are not a technical person, why do you need to know al this stuff? You just need to play your bass

I had one of the discussions with Alex today, and I just realized that the best answers we can give to you are not the ones you expect from us So people (including me) tend to ignore the best answers.
We try to give you the best answers here. And in your case, those answers are - do your own research, or... ask directly Seymour Duncan, stuff like that. And you don't want those, you want to hear our bull♣♣♣♣s, like - this preamp is the best one, and it goes best with the "y" pickups. That is just "internet wisdom"
The guys that knows about pickups and electronics spend half of their life changing them, and they know EXACTLY what they want, and they are looking for the Holy Grail, that does not exist. Other just take their bass and play.
And after years of experience, they feel like maybe they want more mids, and they change the pickups with some with more mids - end of the story.
The sound is in your hand and in your technique. Spend your time listening, and playing if you want results.
