Greetings all!
I am planning on putting in a Aguilar OBP - 3 into my streamer LX 5.
I was wondering if anyone knows what the MEC pickup leads represent.
I have a white wire (18 guage) from each pu to the blend pot, and a red wire (22guage) that goes to the preamp board.
I assume that the white line is the output or the postive lead, I am not sure what the red line is.... Is that the earth ground or the negative lead?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Hello mate,
The white wire is the pick-up wire, it must be coaxial and have a positive lead and a ground.
The red wire is for power, you have active pickups, they work with bateries.

And welcome to the Warwick community mate , Take a coffe with us at the Warwick caffe:-)

Thanks for the info!
So, now I need to figure out how to supply power to the pickups with this preamp...
On the wiring diagram for the pre, I didn't see any power terminals from the pre-amp module to the pickups....

Bollocks! I wanted to wait on swapping my MEC's with Bart's...
So yea... I guess more help please!!! :D

It is possible that tre red wire to go directly from one batterie. Show us the diagram please.

I am not quite sure how to post the actual page on here, so here is a link to the wiring diagram.

I am going to go with a 4 knob configuration so I will not have to modify my bass.
Volume, Blend, stacked treble and bass, mid with a push pull freq. selection...

Thank you very much for the help! [/img]
