Looking for information on a 1997 Fortress R&B

I've sure had a time of it trying to find some info on the Fortress R&B... If someone here could share a little knowledge about this bass - I'd sure appreciate it... Obligatory pics

It's a nice Fortress, with an Ash body and I think a Wengé Neck.
It was supposed to have a J pickup at the bridge.
Unfortunately, someone put a soapbar, and so the body was routed to fit the bigger pickup.
This decreases its value
By the way, pckups are EMG's but I think you got it :wink:

Yes I know the body has been modified, I'll more than likely pull the EMG's and install Nordies... what's the difference between this Fortress and the others - stock that is.

Hey Toby,The main differences between Fortress" is the they all have wenge necks & fingerboards but the Flashback has an ash body & the Masterman & Fortress 1 have maple bodies.
The fortress 1 came in 91,Masterman from 94 & the Flashback in 96.They were all discontinued in 99.The R&B & Flashback are the most collectible I reckon.Also the Flashback has a pickguard,lipstick MEC pickups & 2Tek bridge.

I have an 93 Fortress One with Ash Body
nothings ever certain;-))
