Michael Zaccaria from Dominant music sent me this pic I thought might interest everyone.There are 70 of these Corvettes in exsistence in natural oil finish but there's only 1 new old stock in sunburst.These basses are from the early 90's.

It takes some time for my eyes to adapt...........What kind of topwood is that ??
 
You know I have no idea.I think the bass resides at the factory unless Michael Zaccaria bought it.I'll see if I can find out mate.

Thanks Thumperton. THis is another New Old stock bass. In early 2001 when the The Corvette LTD was released in the USA by Dana B Goods only 70 where crafted, all in natural oil. This is the only 1 produced in Tobacco sunburst high polish. These basses are very rare in natural let alone this one in this custom color is a 1 off.

The top is birdseye maple with an ovangkol centre strip and the back is etimoe.

A lovely bass.

That press release says these are semi-hollow... ??? ... I didn't know that! Makes 'em a little more special than they already are imo. ~M~
 
So do you have a list somewhere of all the new old stock treasures you have? between the fortresses and this LTD (I really like the double P...), you have quite an inventory...
 
The natural finish one I am fortunate enough to own made me change everything I thought about my bass playing. Whoever has a chance to play this one - or even to own it - will be the luckiest bassist in the world! :D ~M~
