Is this a real warwick?

Hi guys,i'm very new here..please to meet all of you...
Recently became a converted bassist from a guitarist. I'm very keen to get a used warwick and stumble onto this ad in ebay.Would appreciate if you guys can share some light on this thing:)
 
Yes its an old Streamer standard but something looks fishy about it. The bridge and knobs look really smooth and the whole bass looks slightly photoshoped for some reason. It just looks a little cartoony to me. I'm not sure if "that" bass is real but that is a real Warwick model.

it looks like it's been cleaned recently. even the back of the neck is shiny and sleek looking.
 
..seller can't be sure if its the real thing.. just wish he has stripped it apart and zoom in for a closer look.. :lol:
 
hard to say, can't make out the date on it. best I could tell with my old eye balls would either a 90 or 98. looks like a newer JAN2 or 3, its not a JAN1. the lighting is bad in the pic
 
It looks real to me.Maybe it's been stained & laquered.
 
does look very shiny new and new. The streamer standards are a bit of an odd bunch on ebay because they seem to sell from anything between £200 - £700 ...... i personally wouldn't look to spend more than about £350 on one, save a little extra and get yourself a nice 2nd hand corvette std or maybe even a fortress
 
Looks like a '99 2-p/u Streamer Std to me. Carolena body with Ovangkol neck. A nice entry level 'wick for sure!

My apology to my fellow countryman if you find the bass pic that you sent me posted here..that's provided if you are lurkin in this forum :o :lol:
 
that fortress is in better condition then mine lol Shame the lettering has warn off the pickups, can't see if it is active or passive.

Check the headstock for a serial number and if your happy with it i would get down there and buy it, fortresses are pretty awesome!!
 
Those are active pups. You can still just about see the mec logo in the regular place where they should be on actives
