Is my Warwick a fake?

... hey?! I have a Warwick Corvette Proline. I searched a little bit in the net and checked my serial number out and stuff. But... it seems that Warwick doesn't have my serial number..

The serial number of my bass is:
I-000203-92, but Warwick have not done a serial number that starts with "I".

So, my question is: Is my beloved bass a fake one? It's the first bass I ever have owned and the only one I have. Its got the original MEC passive pu's and natural coloured. I can post some pictures if there is interest.
 
... it is the first proline with ash body and brass adjustable nut. I'll post som pics later on this day..
 
The serial number checking tool thing on the warwick site does not go back as far as instruments made in 1992 (the year your bass was made) so don't panic too much about that. Post some pics and lets have a looksee ;)
 
I'd say it's more likely there's no record of the SN in the online database than your bass being a fake. Nothing to worry about!
 
I know that Warwick DID use the letter "I" in SN's at some point. I don't know when, but I know they did.
 
well the old prolines with ash body are legit...

Very very rare we come across GOOD copies of warwick, usually they're very easily identifiable.
