Helllo everyone I am new to this forum,

I have a infinity NT and I would like to change the pickups and pre because I am not happy with the sound of the current setup,

Does anyone have experience of changing these? Any recommendations or tip?

I think changing PU and preamp for infinity would be the same for any other bass. For preamp, try an audere classic 4 band or audere z module. I put an audere z module pre in my Cort, and the pre saved my cort from the to sell list and kicked it up to one of the most played basses in my little collection!

If you go with audere, be prepared for some extra doodads such as an LED or a Z mode switch. If you dont want to drill a hole in the bass, then just put the switch in the control cavity and leave it on your favorite Z mode setting. As for the LED, you can put a small hole in the cavity cover and put the LED there. (LED is for battery level detection) Audere makes it so that the installation is super easy. I did mine in a couple hours on a saturday afternoon while listening to the Sweeney Todd soundtrack XD

as for pickups, I often see Bartolini as MEC replacements, but you can go with anything of your choice I suppose

What don't you like about the sound.

My Infinity is possibly the most versatile bass I've ever had the pleasure of using. I can't imagine why you would want to change it?

why would you buy a bass if you didn't like the sound of it? And wouldn't it be easier if you just bought a new amp, I don't really know how hard it is to change pickups so, it might be easier to change them

Delano makes TJ pickups that will fit your bass. Anyway, I think MEC pickups are great...

For preamp, you have many many options, but be sure you have the right pots, for active pickups.

Cheers/ Flo
