Incoming!!! (show Us Your New Stuff Before You Actually Have It)

Congrats Hardy, I'd like to take those Steamers to that tropical place behind and drink strawberry daquaries and play until my fingers bleed 😎

Excellent!!

why does the TRC say « Licensed by Spector » ?
It's funny, the web is full of Spector-fan-boys complaining about something that was settled around 30 years ago, but they seem to forget Spector is selling Jazz Bass copies these days. Ooh, the hypocrisy... 😂

You were right. Thomann is not the same anymore.....

They shipped a scratched cab. I promptly asked for a return label. :(
Sad to read that, was the cab “B-stock” or new? Because I’m taking a look at Thomann’s Hellborg stock and everything they have, except for a 2x15”, is “B-stock”.

That’s cute.
How loud is it actually?
I bet that rig is surprisingly loud. I had a very similar Ashdown Little Bastard hooked up to a 2X12 cab, and it rattled the pantry and cabinet doors in the next room, and that was at just past half volume! Tube amps play by different rules apparently. I have a 50 watt 65Amps with a 1X15 that is shockingly loud. Much louder than a 200w Ampeg with a 2X10 I had at the time. I read an article about why a tube amp sounds louder than a solid state amp of the same wattage, but it didn't make a lot of sense to me. It had something to do with the way our ears work as I recall. But since the speaker, not the amp, creates the sound waves, that doesn't seem right. I never could find a better explanation though. If anyone knows the facts on this subject, they should share.

With one cab it‘s already loud. Not loud enough imo for a use in my band without PA. I connected it to the Hellborg cabs and this should be sufficient. BUT: you run the amp full throttle that way. I prefer some reserves. I have it for home use, running it at half open volume. The tone is always hot! It’s not made for hifi sounds, it’s a rocker!

never really been a compressor guy, but now that I use the SA C4 a lot and my Darkglass fuzz, need some help smoothing things out. Hope it helps. Looks to be very versatile in a tiny package.

Just a '61 jazz bass setup for the Dolphin 5. The preamp somehow mafunctioned, I brought it to a pro that did not wire it properly, so as it was under lockdown I tried myself and then it sat hanged for over a year. Reassembled everything with an EMG preamp just to realize it was the wiring of the switch that was faulty.
And then I kinda broke down and decided to go the passive way.
