It's really a lot about the mood you go into playing.
I remember my best bass sound ever...
i came home late at night, pretty drunk, had made out with a girl before - and somehow decided it would be a great idea to play a little bit - and as far as i remember it sounded f'cking great.

Okay, maybe not the best example :)
There were others, like going to practice with the band - half of them came 50mins later and we others were pretty pissed - the result was a shitty sound nobody could stand - the next day, nobody changed anything and it was even the same weather (just damn cold winter) and everything sounded pretty sweet.

Well, - god knows what's this all about.

God it is excellent! Was able to get Gulden Draak, but the owner retired and now the store is gone. :(

But McEwan's is most excellent. American beer is watery and has a metallic taste to it. I could be on a deserted island surrounded by American Beers, and I would die of thirst. :P

Nuff said. Although, the best beer I've had was Albita in Baton Rouge and any Vermont beers. Im a big Newcastle fan too.

That's how I describe Fosters (sry Greg, Lex and the rest of ya...) but North America has some good beers though, like Sam Adams. Me likey loong time!

The German beers are still the best ... makes me play better (in my brain).
 
Hahah.. Fosters is bloody awful, Australia has some dodgy ones but we do have a fair few that are damn nice... Give me Boag's Premium any day :wink:

I have these off days occasionally.. Everyone does though, so thats a comforting thought :wink:
The worst ones I find are days where you have a really good feeling and play for a few hours, put the bass down for a few minutes come back and its all gone.

An even worse feeling though I think is days that you feel you played really bad or you never felt comfortable on stage or in rehersal and then you have people say its the Best you've sounded as an individual or the overall band sound.
 
I'll let you know when Im over there at the beginning of next year who brews the best :wink:
 
Carlsberg and Tuborg are both horrible! However there's a small brewery in Copenhagen (Nørrebro Bryghus) that actually makes truly amazing beer!
 
We shoud name this topic ... the beer megathread ! :-) That's why we don't have coordination :-)

I actually don't drink any more, as it sends me to sleep immediately after 1 beer with my health problems

There's some good non-alcoholic beers - Becks, Bittberger etc

And I still play crap!!!

They come as alcoholic beverages as well. And they are good. I Agree with bassoctopus on the 0% becks as well. If you drive or if you don't want to get dizzy the Becks 0% is a good drink if it's served ICE COLD.

Leffe is great. Duvel as well but if you drink 2 of those you're done. They are over 7 %. :?
 
Please don't be too imprecise with german beer.
The best is definitely the Bavarian ;)

- No really - beer from cologne could never be compared to good bavarian brewages.
Therefore there aren't any special beer labels I could appreciate, because in every second bigger city there's its own brewery.
My favourites are almost invariably from those beers.
If you ever get the chance, tryout "Steiner Export" or "Schalchner Weisse".
If not available, good old "Augustiner Edelstoff" will do ;)
 
McEwan's = 9% alcohol. :D
Westvleteren Abt 12 = 10.2% :wink:
Gulden Draak = 10.5% :shock: (Me Favorite)
Got to love the champagne malts. :twisted:

I have 3 kids and have to act like an adult, I need all the help I can get. :lol:
