who and what would you give them? id give jaco a thumb fretless :twisted:
 
I really don't know, but Jaco is the one guy I'd let be! He loved his Fender and the tone he got from it rocked! :D
Perhaps Geezer Butler could have been well off with a Thumb
 
I'd give Jack Bruce one back when Cream was around. :twisted:
 
Nobody. The old guys I like got a good sounding tone on what they played...

That's a tough one, as was pointed out those guys became the classic players they are (or were in some cases) with what they had. Would things be changed for the better?

I'd give myself a Thumb bass in 82,when I really could've benefited form being able to hear myself.
 
those guys aren't famous for their tone, they are famous for their playing, you could give them any bass and they would have done just as well...

their tone only became a deal when people started trying to copy it IMO

I am int he same brain wave as you.

I should have known about Warwicks 10 basses ago and if I had done this back then...I would have a wicked Wic collection like the one I found in the jobs section.

check it out at Warwick.de then go to Warwick, then go to Jobs and check out that office lobby.

I tried copying and pasting the pic but for soem reason it won't work on this computer.

but check it out guys. you will not be disappointed.

if somebody can post it...that'd be great.

Agree with that too.
 
Jerry, the guy I took lessons from almost 30 years ago. Unfortunately he passed away a few years back, and I don't believe he ever had the opportunity to play a Warwick. He appreciated and loved great tone, and he would have certainly enjoyed one.
