If you could only keep one...

You know which answer I would give atm. Dat BuzzTard combines all my wishes. Maybe I will have other ideas soon or later, but first I would need another idea like the "old crate" design. Stryker, Infy, Star Bass... 8 string... dunno. But for now: BUUUZZZZTAAARRRRD!!!

Wow... that´s a tough one. I love my LX, but every time I play the Infy SN5 I think about using it exclusively... if it weren´t that heavy. ;)

At the current time I don't have any loyalties that run quite that deep, but I would probably say Thumb NT5

The reason I asked is I really couldn't tell for myself. I have four basses which are very different but I love all of them.
Most impressive tone comes from the Fender Jazz with Lollar pickups & John East pre. Most lively and responsive the Ric. Most P like tone (glues the other instruments together and carries the band) is the Zon. Best playing and punching thru mixes the Vette $$ SE.

I don't think I will want to sell any of them and if I really could keep just one I would be getting depressed having to decide.

Ofc it would be a cut down to be limited to one bass. What I really need: a 4 string gig bass + an acoustic bass. Now fretless, 10 string, backup bass, BEAD bass = 6 basses already. I could live with one, but I´m happy I don´t have to!

Zon Legacy Elite, 100%.

It has a perfect neck ( for me ), very slim and fast and the frets are perfect size.
Body could've been slanted a bit more and the top strap button sucks, but the rest is amazing.
I've always used my $$'s first during gigs, but that's also because the Zon is sometimes too precious to take with.

SSII 5. Its been my #1 for 2 years now. I actually sold one and just bought an identical one months later :/

No such question. Can't answer. Does not compute.

Like, do tell, "one WHAT" ?

Reeeeeeaaally now, I spoze you mean "one bass guitar",
but that implies that "bass guitar" constitutes a practical
definition of a type of instrument. Wrong. Might as well
use any grouping:

One string instrument.
One wind instrument.
One fretted mag PU 4 string bass guitar.
One Bb wind instrument.
One bowed instrument.
etcetcetc....

Anywho, of All Stringed Things Bass I'd hafta keep my
Eminence. If you insisted on considering only a typical
bass guitar, fretted, solid bodied, mag PU, etc then I do
have a Wick '04LE, and within that narrow genre it's all
I could ask of an instrument.

It's really a poorly worded question. If you wanna know
what's peep's go-to bass ax, just ask "what's your go-to
bass ax ?" ... just like that.

Dude, where do you get your weed? Might want to get a new supplier.

No, that's not what I am asking.

I'd have to say my P-Nut III. It's such a nice bass. Very versatile electronics, and the Warwick non-broadneck spacing is just right for me.

Well it'z probably a boring answer but I only play da Infinette ... 8:

I can see Golem's point of view as well, as the "go-to bass ax" might not always be the bass you will never part with.
To me it is easy, on both situations, my CS - SSII EMG PP pickups, zebranobody wenge neck. It is basically a Buzzard in disguise, so yeah... that's the one!

I may be interested, too. 8:

Portland was already an amazing city, but it's even better now than ever. The holyherb just became legal last year. Shops everywhere. Hundreds of strains. Can grow up to 4 plants for personal.

It's beautiful.
